While walking through the woods, I was drawn to the bold forms of hart's ferns and hazel branches, nestled in a mossy bank. I wanted to capture the way they were spilling out over the soakaway below, creating shade in a small, self contained ecosystem within the larger landscape.
Printed by hand on beautiful 300gsm hot pressed watercolour paper, this piece captures fine detail and subtle texture. Each print is unique, with slight variations that are part of its handmade character.
