Tree Stump is a black and white linocut created as part of a project where I threw a hula hoop into the woods and explored whatever lay within its circle. Flowing grain patterns trace the years of the tree’s life, while broken shards mark where the saw once cut through. This print celebrates the quiet beauty in ordinary, overlooked details; reminders of time, growth, and renewal in the natural world.
Printed by hand on beautiful 300gsm hot-pressed watercolour paper, this piece captures fine detail and subtle texture. Each print is unique, with slight variations that are part of its handmade character.
